I am a versitile Steadicam operator based in Iceland. My experience includes six years as a Steadicam operator for Söngvakeppnin, the national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest, capturing stunning shots of the performances. I have also worked on several European Qualifiers Football matches, live concerts, TV quiz shows like Money Drop Iceland, and awards shows, including the Icelandic Music Awards, Kids Stories Awards, and the Icelandic Sports Gala.
I have attended two official Steadicam Gold Workshops, one in the UK in 2011 and another in Sweden in 2022. These workshops were invaluable experiences that allowed me to hone my skills and stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in the field.
My experience in the industry goes beyond my expertise as a Steadicam operator. I have also worked as a director of live broadcasts, technical director, producer, vision mixer, camera operator and technical coordinator, which gives me an advantage in understanding the entire production process. As a producer and technical coordinator, I have worked on multiple Olympic Games for Iceland’s National Broadcaster RUV, bringing my expertise to the forefront of high-quality live event coverage. Additionally, I am the producer of the live broadcasts from Iceland’s National Golf Championships, capturing the beauty and excitement of this popular sport.
One of the highlights of my career was when I took on the role of assistant director for the performance of the song Húsavík for the 93rd Academy Awards. This project was a challenging yet rewarding experience, and I am proud to have been part of the team that brought the performance to life on such a prestigious platform.
